Heat Index

So, today it's going to be 97° F. But with the humidity it's going to feel like 100° F. I just can't stand it. If it was going to be 97° F and feel like 97° F, then I think I could handle it, but those extra 3° F are going to be tough, because I will definitely be able to feel the difference especially when it's that hot. Too bad I have to leave work early today to play golf...um...I mean, network.
(sarcasm throughout)

Luckily, it's supposed to cool off for moving day.

So the drums arrive today, but I probably won't get a chance to set them up until Saturday. I got the cymbals last week and did the math. Since I called them to place the order, (rather than placing it on-line), I received an extra package free of charge. In the end I figure I got about $130 (based on their prices) worth of stuff for free, by buying the package and asking the salesguy about these "other cymbals I read about in the reviews."

Now I need a drum throne and a double bass drum pedal.
Click here to see what I want, and when you know my new address, send it to me.
You're the best!

Thanks.

Happy Pi Approximation Day

Today is Michelle's birthday. She's as old as me for 139 days. Then it's my birthday.
(You can get me an American Fender Fat Strat in sunburst brown. )

Tonight we're going to a comedy show to celebrate her special day. Did you know that today is also Liberation Day in Poland? On this day, everyone in Poland uses their Liberator.

Tomorrow we're having cake and ice cream. Michelle loves Polish ice cream. Below is a picture from her birthday party last year.

Yummy

I gave her the necklace she's wearing.

Plus, my drums are in Kansas, and my cymbals are arriving today.

Drums on the way!

METAL!!

Soon my drumset will arrive. I am going to bang on it every day and every night.
ti-ki ta ti-ki ta, ta ta ta. trip-le-ti, trip-le-ti, trip-le-ti

So the other day I was walking across the vast expanse of my workplace parking lot and after about 10 minutes, I had caught up to a woman on her cell phone.
I happened to have my phone in my pocket (I usually just leave it in the car) so I pulled it out and began to respond to what she was saying as if we were talking to each other on the phone. It went something like this:

Woman: So, you're certain that John can make it?
Me: I've never been more sure of something in my life.
Woman: No, he has an appointment.
Me: Then why did you ask if he could make it?

At this point she glances at me and steps to the side a little, moving towards her car.

Woman: Yeah, she said she could take the kids.
Me: She better rent a minivan then since we have 5 of them.

She reaches into her purse and pulls out her keys. I continue to walk towards my car, but slow down a little.

Woman: I think this guy next to me is pretending to talk to me on the phone, he's responding to everything I say.
Me: He must be incredibly witty, clever and handsome.

At this point she cracks a smile, opens her door, and starts to get into her car.

Woman: Okay, I have to go now.
Me: Alright, bye now.

She shuts her door and I continue on towards my car. Moments later, she drives by me as I continue towards my car. She looks at me through the window and shakes her head. I wave.

I encourage you to try this some time. It's fun.

1UP

So, my boss was away most of this week. I decided to take advantage of him not wandering by my spacious, 4 bedroom cubicle. I've begun playing this mini-golf game I was e-mailed by a friend a few years ago. That made me think of video games.

I'm very bad at video games. I play all the sports games at the easiest level, then when I play against other people, I can only win if their controller stops working. I usually go on the internet and find cheat codes to beat the non-sports games. I'm such a wuss.

But I have played a lot of games. I still have a working Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Playstation, PS2, and Atari 2600 (somewhere in storage...okay it's actually Michelle's but whatever: "Your stuff's my stuff, and my stuff's your stuff.")

Since I'm OCD, and love to organize things, and set things up, and "let's make this a contest," and if you've ever told me that, you are a buttface... yada yada...here's my list of the best games, with a few comments. Play them if you can.

NO PARTICULAR ORDER

M.U.S.H.A. - Sega Genesis
We rented this and played it all night at Papa Taylor's house.
This game is similar.

Mega Man 2 - Nintendo Enterainment System
I just played this game a month or two ago. The ending is all sad sounding. The
minibosses play a Mega Man 2 medley that kicks so much ass.

Pitfall - Atari 2600 (7800)
Green stickman jumping over things. Sweet (by sweet I mean totally awesome.)

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker - Sega Genesis
This game is another rented one we played at PT's. We always rented games and wanted so bad to beat them that we stayed up all night playing them. One time I stepped through the frozen ice. (Remember?)

Hot Shots Golf (any version) - Playstation (and PS2, probably PS3 too)
"Put your left hand on your right knee."

Brutal Sports Football - Atari Jaguar
This game was awesome. If you were tied at the end of regulation, you went into sudden death. And it was just that. Both teams fought until one team was all dead. The teams were goats, vikings, lizards, and I think rhinos. Very cool.

Mike Tyson's Punchout - Nintendo Entertainment System
Actually any version is good (In particular, I recall an
arcade version where Bald Bull was the third person you faced.) I only chose the Mike Tyson version because I own it, and because Mike Tyson is crazy and lives in my fridge. One time, when Smigeon was dating some Abercrombie-type guy from college, I bet him I could make it all the way to Tyson without getting knocked down. Then I did it. Then I kicked this guy in the groinal region.
Man, I am awesome.

That's all I can think off. Some of you are thinking, "Hey man, what about Mario, Pong, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Madden Football, Final Fantasy, Sonic, Doom, Pac Man, Halo, etc."
Those games are all stupid. They lose. Good day sir.
